I attended New Trier High School and Bradley University. I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2003. In 2006, after working in variety of clinical settings, I moved my practice in Junction City.
I have a Certificate of Training in Mindfulness and Psychotherapy from Barre Center for Buddhist Studies and The Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy, a Certificate of Advanced Training in Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I have studied meditation and attended retreats at Barre Center for Buddhist Studies in Barre, MA, Vallecitos Mountain Ranch in New Mexico, Tassajara Zen Mountain Center in California, and many other retreat centers, working in the tradition of both Zen and Insight Meditation, with an emphasis in the practice of mindfulness to improve focus and well being, and to reduce anxiety and depression.
I am a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Psychological Association, and the American Group Psychotherapy Association. In my spare time, I can be found sailing, bicycling, acting, or sauntering through the woods with Gracie, my Bernese Mountain Dog.
